Yolanda West-Calvin

After graduation from high school, Yolanda attended the University of Central Arkansas in Conway, AR where she enrolled in an interior design class as an elective, and a fire was lit.  Due to her not being exposed to minorities in the design industry at the time, she chose not to pursue that.  Instead, she received a degree in Sociology.

Little did she know the study of society and people would take her full circle to where her heart was more than 20 years ago.  During her tenure in Sociology, Yolanda was given the opportunity to develop skills and make connections that afforded her the positions to research, develop, and execute events for non-profit organizations.  Yolanda was also instrumental in the styling of these events, something that came naturally.

In 2015, Yolanda decided it was time to create her own business.  Hence D'Zirable Events (DZ) was born.  DZ started as a wreath-making company and emerged into a styling business in 2017.  Since then, DZ has created amazing event styling from baby showers, bridal showers, and milestone birthday parties, to elegant simplistic weddings.

With the rebranding for 2023, DZ will offer more services than ever before.  Yolanda will provide more promotion, event strategizing, and planning services.  She will also maintain the epitome of design style in more intimate event settings.

Yolanda is the wife of Dekeatrick Calvin and the mother of one son, Kaleb.
